Trusting in God means also trusting in His timing. Learn to discern the next move of God on your life and be alert to His Divine timing.
Take time to communicate with The Father and get the “green light” from Him on next steps. It’s always wise to seek His counsel and follow peace to know that we’re in the right place at the right time.
2 Peter 3:8-9
Don’t act with haste, but really get to know The Father’s will for the moment. God’s timing is usually discerned through patience. Give yourself time for The Holy Spirit to confirm what He wants you to do. The Bible says those who wait for The Lord will always find a renewed sense of strength and direction.
Identify God Desires
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Your new nature is always in the presence of God. You can’t spend that much time with The Father without attracting His desires and His heart for people. Learn to identify those desires that God just drops in your heart. They will be a stir and an indicator on when to take action.
But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.
The Holy Spirit will relate to you through confirmation cues to encourage you either to move forward, slow down or come to a complete stop. Be watchful and sensitive to these cues as they will help you stay planted in the will of God.
Look For God-opportunities
John 6:28 – Therefore they said to Him, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?
“God-opportunities” that The Lord wants us to act on will always be an opportunity for our abilities to be amplified with His strengths. When God wants you to take action it will bring you into a co-laboring partnership with Him.
Don’t Delay Obedience
Once God makes known to you His will and your next steps, do everything you can to respond with immediate obedience. A slow reaction time is the enemy to the blessing of radical, immediate obedience.
“Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Stay alert in understanding God’s desire to take you to the next level of glory. We have to be ready and willing to allow God to advance us forward to the next level. Being sensitive to those times will help you make the right move and become more aware of God’s transitional phases for your life.
